Introduction - Initial Ideas
As the recession continues and global warming is a huge threat, we are taking the opportunity to use this as our initial idea, or starting point. Using the theme of “The Earth” and “Recycling”, our aim is to create a fun and new approach to dealing with our fears about the future of our world. Bringing everyone in the community together to enjoy nature and let them discover what the world has to offer.

Creating promotional concept board 2
Creating our second Promotional Campaign board here with the above the line techniques in the form of the "pop up mailer". These are small pop up boxes that will be posted to most current addresses around the area of where the pop up shop is going that week, for example, Preston. The mailers physically pop out of the envelope they are encased in to grab the attention of whomever might open it and they are covered with promotion and advertising for ReGeneration, its locations, its ethos, what it is exhibiting etc. The bozes afterwards can also be transformed into re useable money boxes, Pen holders, Tissue boxes etc to continue with the recycling theme of the entire pop up store. It's vert different to anything you would normally have posted through your letter box and has much more of an impact on the consumer than a simple paper flyer.

Product Concept
To keep the Pop up store simple, we should sell recycled jewellery designed by students at UCLAN; students or local artist could also run work shop sessions for locals to design their own jewellery too. This fulfils the brief; we are selling work and exhibiting a contemporary creative practice.

Promotional Inspiration
"Each day, people think up crazier and crazier ways to advertise their products, services, and ideas. Guerilla marketers use promotional products and creativity to make sure their messages stick in the minds of the public and influence their behaviours."
I've trailed the internet for promotional ideas that we could use to advertise our pop up store:
Stick things around Preston town that aren't posters or leaflets that will attract people's interest.
However we could do a few posters around town but add a little twist, for example adding customer interaction with the poster?
Or maybe a when the pop up store has been installed, objects around town could lead to the store. E.G.
A few days before the pop up store opens, we could gain peoples interest by generating a hype through customer interaction like the promotion below.
Linking our REGENERATION theme into the promotional idea, we could possibly create a sculpture in town using recycled objects or rubbish. Something big and eye catching to draw peoples attention, which will hopefully lead them to being interested in the pop up store.

Colour Inspiration Board
I've created a few colour boards that could inspire our colour theme, keeping in mind of REGENERATION.
Global warming caused by pollution and rubbish filling land fills is ruining the earth, i started off with this idea for colour inspiration. Looking at the colour of rubbish contrasting with the sky, the two colours really contrast with each other and makes them both pop.
REGENERATION then takes me onto thinking about nature and when it comes to mother nature the colour that it is usually associated with is green.
This moves me onto natural, organic, materials such as wood or cardboard that we'd use to make the pop up store. The inspiration board below shows what textures and colours we could use to decorate the store/promote with as a theme.
The above mood boards could inspire us to use certain colours in this project as a theme, so that people and potential customers can identify the promotion with the pop up store.
