Introduction - Initial Ideas

As the recession continues and global warming is a huge threat, we are taking the opportunity to use this as our initial idea, or starting point. Using the theme of “The Earth” and “Recycling”, our aim is to create a fun and new approach to dealing with our fears about the future of our world. Bringing everyone in the community together to enjoy nature and let them discover what the world has to offer.

Ideas and Sketches 1

Looking at Native American style tee pees, using wicker, branches etc
 
Using nature to create a weaved structure, the downside is that to create one tall enough to fit anything in, the diameter of the structure would have to be enormous. Therefore the size of the site in which the structure could sit would have to be very large therefore restricting the adaptability of our pop up shop.

    I like the idea of using natural products such as wicker as you mentioned. Also willow could be used which is fairly easy to work with. Pity about the tee pee not being that easily adaptable as I think its a great idea! Could maybe use smaller ones for changing rooms though!! :) Vicky
